Norwich (@23.0) vs Man City (@1.11)

Our Prediction:

Man City will win

Norwich – Man City Match Prediction | 15-09-2019 12:30

I focused on each teams form and recent results. Manchester City is a heavy favorite in this game. The safest bet in this game will be on goals scored, that is my opinion after evaluating all the factors. They have more quality and talent than Norwich. This being the first game between these two teams in this season I had to focus on some other factors when crafting my selection.

Perhaps a more obvious reason for that price is that the Norfolk sides opponents here, Manchester City, are arguably the best team in the world right now. Although they arent top of the table right now, theyre favourites to lift the trophy again come May this term. Under Pep Guardiola, the Citizens have won the last two Premier League titles, racking up 100 points two years ago and picking up four domestic trophies last term.

The Finn has taken his prolific Championship form and seamlessly gelled in the top flight, continuing that good form with two goals in two games for Finland over the international break. He's now scored in seven of his last seven games, totalling 10 goals from his last eight games for club and country. There's been plenty of good things about Norwich so far this season, notably their attacking play and the form of striker Teemu Pukki, who has scored five goals from four games and asked questions of both Liverpool and Chelsea.

Manchester United are regarded as Manchester Citys biggest rivals and the likes of Kun Aguero, Carlos Tevez, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Uwe Rosler, Yaya Toure, Sylvain Distin are some of the most remarkable players that played for the Etihad Stadium outfit. Manchester City have won four Premier League titles and five FA Cup trophies and it has to be noted that they made it to the Champions League semis in the 2015/2016 season.

The Argentinian marksman has already racked up no fewer than six goals in just four Premier League appearances and given that this Norwich outfit has already shipped ten goals in its first four Premier League outings of the season, we can see the 31 year old adding to his tally with at least two more here at13/5 Coral. Sergio Aguero has been in scintillating form for Manchester City so far this season.

It has to be noted, though, that the visitors will be without Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane as the duo is out of contention with injury. The reigning champions have been scoring goals for fun at the start of the new Premier League season and they are likely to record a routine win over the newcomers at Carrow Road. A man to watch in the home side will be Teemu Pukki, who has already netted five goals in the new 2019/2020 Premier League season.

Unsurprisingly, one man to watch at Carrow Road this weekend will be the Premier Leagues leading goalscorer, Sergio Aguero. It is also worth noting that the Sky Blues have won each of their last nine top-flight matches away from the Etihad. Although Liverpool do have the chance to briefly extend their buffer to five points, Pep Guardiolas men are coming off the back of a 4-0 win over Brighton and have continued to shine in the final third. Now recording back-to-back victories since dropping points against Spurs last month, the defending champions have already recorded 14 strikes in their opening four Premier League outings. Bagging another brace against Brighton last time out, the Argentinan international has found the net in each of his four appearances and already has six goals to his name. As for the visitors, while Norwich might be enduring a torrid start to the new season, Manchester City find the mood in their camp at a high.

The Citizens proved their worth in a 4-0 win over Brighton and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Norwich City. Manchester City will be aiming to climb to top position in the Premier League standings when they take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday evening. Kun Aguero continues where he left last season and given Raheem Sterlings fine form, away win should be considered.

Aymeric Laporte will be out for the foreseeable future after suffering an injury last time out against Brighton, and there are questions about John Stones' match fitness, so there's a chance Fernandinho drops into a makeshift backline. It's difficult to overstate quite how strong City are at present, especially going forward (they stuck five past West Ham, three past Bournemouth and four past Brighton) - but there might be a couple of question marks in defence, where they suddenly look a little light following Vincent Kompany's departure.

Premier League betting tips

Starting with the hosts, while the mood in Norwichs camp would have been on a high after running away with the Championship title last season, the Canneries are drastically struggling to adjust to life back in the top flight. Coming off the back of a 2-0 defeat away at West Ham prior to the international break, Daniel Farkes men have lost their last three appearances on the bounce, a run that also saw them come crashing out of the League Cup at the hands of lower-league Crawley last month. Losing four of their last five across all competitions and with just one Premier League victory to their name since making their return over the summer, a huge part of Norwichs continued issues has been down to some glaring defensive issues. Although leading marksman Teemu Pukki may already have four goals to his name and be spearheading the Yellows charge in the final third, Saturdays hosts have already shipped 10 goals so far, more than any other side in the top-tier.

City meanwhile opened the scoring in less than 120 seconds in their last outing against Brighton so were expecting City to be ahead by the time the 15 minute mark rolls around here at odds of 11/5 with Ladbrokes. Norwich conceded early in those defeats to Liverpool and Chelsea, being 1-2 down after 17 minutes against the Blues and 3-0 down to Liverpool after just 28 minutes.

Historically they do not have trouble defeating them.Manchester City is in an excellent form this season. My opinion is that we can expect a high scoring game in this one. Both teams are looking to secure as good as possible results in this game hoping to achieve their season goals. They have 3 points after a surprising but very well deserved victory against Newcastle at home. Norwich are playing attacking football and are always trying to outscore their opponents. They are scoring an amazing average of 3 goals per game driven by their strikers Sterling and Aguero. They have won 3 out of 4 games they played in the Premier League with a 14:3 goal difference. Manchester City have not played Norwich in the last 3 years.

Norwich have earned a lot of respect around the league with their attacking style of play. They are relying on their amazing striker Teemu Pukki who already scored 5 goals this season. Even though they are in the relegation zone and will fight until the very end, my opinion is that they will score against City in this game but will eventually lose.
