Our Prediction:

Real Madrid will win

Real Madrid – Levante Match Prediction | 15-09-2019 07:00

Karim Benzema will, as always, lead the line for the Spanish giants against Levante. Los Levantinos, on the other hand, have been playing above expectations at the start of the season as they defeated both Villarreal and Real Valladolid at home ground, but given their poor away record in the Spanish top flight, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Zinedine Zidanes men.

The hosts though are hoping to complete a historic league double over Los Blancos. They head to Levante this Sunday hoping to respond ahead of a crunch week with two clasicos in the space of four days. Real Madrids bid to get back into the title race came to a shuddering halt last weekend with a shock home defeat.

Both of these teams started this season in a pretty similar way. Real Madrid at home looks too strong for Levante as of now. If we take everything I said, it points to the home win with over 2.5 goals scored. I looked at their recent performances and their styles of play, as well as other factors like tradition while I was crafting my selection.

Real Madrid vs Levante Predictions

The Belgian will be desperate to hit the ground running, which probably spells bad news for Levante if hes able to instantly replicate the form shown for club and country over the past two years. Fortunately for Real, marquee summer signing Eden Hazard is finally fit and should come in as a straight swap to make his full debut for the club.

Levante are having a good season overall but they still have La Ligas joint worst defensive record with 1.79 goals per game conceded. Weve certainly got plenty of reason to expect goals in this one. Theyve actually conceded more at home than they have away so there should be plenty of space for Reals front-line to exploit. 73% of Levante home matches this term have produced over 2.5 goals, while 45% have produced 4 or more.

Eden Hazard could now finally make his competitive debut and while Bale, Isco, and Rodrygo sit sidelined, it will be very interesting to see how much of an impact the Belgian mage makes. Los Blancos opened the campaign with an exciting win at Celta Vigo (1-3) as they put an underwhelming pre-season behind them, but Zinedine Zidanes men saw criticism once again as they were held off by Real Valladolid (1-1) and Villarreal (2-2).

Unsurprisingly though, its Real who have been chalked up as long odds-on favourites for this clash, but we dont envisage Zinedine Zidanes side getting everything their own way. Levante were one of five teams to turn over Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu in 2018/19 and Granotas will be confident that they can shake up Los Merengues again this Saturday after posting back to back league wins before the international break.

They will miss some players, as Hazard, Asensio and Rodriguez will not suit up for this game. An interesting fact is that they have scored exactly three goals in four of their last six La Liga home victories. As it was already said, they have a changeable form this season. Karim Benzema scored the match opener in Madrids opening two games, so Levante will have to stop him if they want something from this game. They will have to play a lot better.

After dropping four points in back-to-back draws with the likes of Real Valladolid and Villarreal, Real Madrid will be looking to return to winning ways in La Liga when they host Levante at their Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos are determined to stay in the race for the trophy and seeing that big-money signing Eden Hazard has overcome his injury, we are positive that the capital club will pick up all three points from Saturdays football game.
