Our Prediction:

Swansea will win

Swansea – Nottm Forest Match Prediction | 15-09-2019 10:00

All eyes will be on Liberty Stadium when Swansea City and Nottingham Forest face each other in the Championship derby. The Welsh outfit aim to extend their winning run in all competitions to seven games and we are positive that they are going to prove their worth on the field. The Swans have been playing above expectations at the start of the new season and they head into Saturdays football match following a thrilling 1-0 win at Leeds United.

Nottingham Forest are regarded as one of the greatest English clubs as they won the European Cup on two occasions. In 1979 Forest outplayed Malmo (1-0) at the Olympiastadion in Munich in the final of the elite competition, with the team beating Hamburg in 1980 in the title game at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (1-0). They have been playing their home games at the City Ground since 1898 and the capacity of the stadium is 30,445. Nottingham Forest, the club that are often referred to as Forest, were formed in 1865.

Nottingham Forest

That has us backing Forest to continue their three-game unbeaten run against Swansea as were backing the visitors on the Double Chance market. The Swans have only controlled one home game this season a 3-0 win over a poor Birmingham team. Both Hull and Preston gave the Swans problems going forward, while Forest have the defensive rigidity on the road to pull of a result.

Swansea is undefeated in the league in all the six games and holds an average scoring of two goals per game. Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are in the middle of the table two wins and a loss at the 10th position in the table. Topping the table at the start of the season with a dream start into the league has given flying colors for the host in the Championship.

Our prediction for this Championship match:

They are unbeaten in the league and are likely not to be defeated by Forest who are still struggling with their consistency. The host has recorded three clean sheets in the league so far. Moreover, Swans have an unbeaten three games against the Reds at home matches and with that home advantage, they are sure to continue their winning trends.

While the Welsh outfit have been struggling for goals of late Oliver McBurnie could be back while Forest are going to have to attack this one which could open opportunities on the break for the visitors. I would instead look at both teams to score. The prices in the match market look about right with Nottingham Forest enjoying home advantage but probably little to choose between these sides when they are both at their best.

They have become the shock frontrunners for promotion after their 1-0 win at Leeds, which capped off a brilliant start. With a six game-winning run behind them, the Swans are a serious threat to any side in the division. The Welsh side went from losing their two best players and manager this summer to first place early on, an achievement which has to be applauded.

This is set to be a tricky clash for the hosts, as Nottingham Forest have been flying under the radar so far this term. League leaders Swansea will be aiming to keep their form rolling this weekend, as they host Nottingham Forest. Could they use that to their advantage in order to grab a result at the Liberty this weekend?

However, this time around Sabri Lamouchi seems to have something about him. However, Lamouchi hasnt just turned around their fortunes there, hes got them playing well on the road. Having chewed up and spat out a string of average Championship bosses, the City Ground is an unforgiving place. There was also managerial upheaval at the City Ground once again.
